Dan R., aka yourfriendthenerd is a Nebraskan blogger/vlogger who is currently a college Freshman attending Messiah College in Grantham, PA. He has had a fairly normal life, but growing up in supersmalltown America where his graduating class was a whopping 30 students has not made him an unrelatable hick, but rather, has made his viewpoint a unique, intelligent, and humorous one.
In his blogs he tells of his misadventures of adjusting to college life far from home, and the thoughts and events he confronts along the way. In these blogs you will find his slightly awkward nature and quirkiness shining through at some points whereas at others you will find a deeper, more contemplative side. Also sometimes he will make up long, braggy, slightly nonsensical paragraphs about himself for descriptions that he writes in the third-person for some reason.
Glad to see the sun is out again. Hearing some noises outside. Can’t be sure if it’s people returning yet. Just to be safe, I’m locking myself in my room.
The Ghost campus is chilly. I can literally feel my own body heat radiating. Filmed a new vlog to be posted tomorrow. Not looking forward to turning the lights out and sleeping tonight. I keep hearing things outside my window.
Back from a brief excursion into the emptiness. I’ve looked out my window and noticed that the evergreen trees across the road are turning yellow. This doesn’t bode well. Vlog from the ghost to be uploaded later tonight; editing now.
The dining hall always seems a bit more austere with only a few patrons. The morning was relatively uneventful, but I heard a few screams from outside. I could not discern if they were whoops of joy or cries of fear. The clouds are looming over campus. I can’t help but shudder wondering what they may bring…
I made it back to my dorm with little difficulty. The only situation I encountered was a pair of creatures outside North Complex. Though I could not tell if they were indeed zombies, it seemed likely since they were apparently attempting to eat each others faces and making noises not dissimilar to that of the undead. I did not spend any time trying to figure out their exact classification, lest they notice me, and hurried into the building. Bed soon; locking my door just in case anyone followed me.
